Longleaf Pine Restoration
When Europeans arrived in North America longleaf pine forests covered the continent from the Atlantic to the Gulf of Mexico.
Three percent of that original forest remains. Spring 2022 we droneseed 10 acres in Hickory Creek, Mississippi, to trial longleaf seedpod recipes and dispersion strategies. We will also trial our automated aerial seed scatterer,
a new innovation for landscape-scale restoration.
